Quantum Utilisation for Breakthroughs in Ireland’s Computing
Project Overview
QUBIC is an Irish funded quantum computing initiative that brings together a multidisciplinary consortium of industry leaders and academic institutions to accelerate the development and real-world application of quantum technologies. The project is led by Equal1 and supported through the Enterprise Ireland Disruptive Technologies Innovation Fund, integrating expertise across quantum hardware, software, and algorithms to deliver scalable end-to-end solutions.
QUBIC focuses on high-impact sectors such as energy, climate modelling, advanced materials, and pharmaceuticals aiming to bridge the gap between research and deployment and enabling industry, researchers, and policymakers to harness quantum computing for complex challenges while strengthening Ireland’s position in the global quantum ecosystem.
FundtoInnovate’s Role as Impact Lead
FundtoInnovate leads all impact, dissemination, and exploitation activities for QUBIC. As Impact Lead, FundtoInnovate:
- Designs and delivers a comprehensive Dissemination, Exploitation, and Communication (DEC) plan.
- Maps and involves stakeholders across Ireland and the world, from researchers and quantum engineers to industry partners, policymakers, and technology innovators.
- Drives visibility and stakeholder involvement through impact acceleration strategies.
- Cultivates project sustainability, ensuring long term project impact across key value chains.
