Helping Young Testicular Cancer Survivors Reclaim Life After Treatment
Project Overview
TRANSCEND-XR is a Horizon Europe-funded research and innovation project (Grant Agreement No. 101214413) uniting 15 partners from 12 countries to transform quality of life for adolescent and young adult testicular cancer survivors. The consortium, including leading universities, hospitals, XR technology specialists, and advocacy networks, co-creates advanced extended reality solutions that inform, empower, and deliver personalised post-treatment support.
Through this collaborative approach, survivors, families, healthcare professionals, and policy makers access state-of-the-art resources and engage with the latest digital innovations in cancer care - setting new standards for survivorship across Europe.
FundtoInnovate’s Role as Impact Lead
FundtoInnovate leads all impact, dissemination, and exploitation activities for TRANSCEND-XR. As Impact Lead, FundtoInnovate:
- Designs and executes the comprehensive Dissemination, Exploitation, and Communication (DEC) plan.
- Maps and engages stakeholders across Europe, from survivors and clinicians to policymakers and digital innovators.
- Leads clustering and knowledge exchange, building a pan-European QoL ecosystem to accelerate real-world adoption of project results.
- Drives visibility and stakeholder involvement through roundtables, workshops, and impact acceleration strategies.
- Develops and maintains project sustainability, ensuring long term project impact across key value chains.
Impact & Outcomes
- Improved survivorship and wellbeing for AYA testicular cancer patients and their families.
- Enhanced digital education and long-term follow-up for survivors, supported by immersive technology.
- Robust scientific and policy recommendations that shape future cancer care across Europe.
- A shared online ecosystem for open innovation, resource sharing, and European-wide collaboration.
